Emanuel F. Barros,
Founder and CEO/CTO, Chairman
of the Board of Directors
Emanuel has been an entrepreneur and technology devotee for almost
20 years. His career is a series of technical design, prototype
and development achievements within organizations ranging from
start-up companies, to public companies and NASA. In 2001, Emanuel
invented our key technology and began putting together a diverse
team to bring the technology to market. Along with four other
founders, Emanuel has enlisted the help of over a dozen colleagues
to bring his innovative microjet technology to market. Prior to
founding NanoMatrix in 2002, Emanuel was an award winning project
engineer for NASA, where he specialized in designing hardware
for space in-flight research, including designing and building
equipment for use on the space shuttle Spacelab, The International
Space Station and assisting in training astronauts in the equipment's
use. He helped NASA identify and integrate advanced technologies
and was the nanotechnology expert for the life sciences division
at NASA Ames Research Center. Prior to joining NASA, Emanuel has
held system design roles at Watkins-Johnson, Nova Controls, Mountain
Network Solutions, Seagate and Borland. He also sits on the board
of directors for SSOAR, (Space Science Outreach And Research,
ssoar.org) a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting research
in space science and technology. Emanuel has been a devout nanotechnologist
for 14 years and an active member of the Foresight Institute for
over a decade. Emanuel has a bachelors degree in computer science
from National University.
Patrict McKee
Director of the
Board, Co-founder.
Mr. McKee has twenty-nine years of
experience in management and engineering. Mr. McKee has coordinated
efforts between Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Development
Engineers, H/W & S/W, Quality, Materials, Purchasing, Field
Service, Printed Circuit Board Shop, and Marketing. Mr. McKee
has extensive experience with creating engineering teams and manufacturing
plans, decision-making, and high-level planning, and has been
a software and hardware developer and troubleshooter "in
the trenches" for the disk drive industry

Phillips
VP
of Sales & Marketing, Director of the
Board, Co-founder
Mr. Phillips has been involved sales and marketing in the high-tech
and commercial markets for over 20 years. With a background in
biochemistry and a strong sales performance record, Mr. Phillips
is well suited to present the NanoMatrix systems to the research
and enterprise community. Mr. Phillips has led the sales teams
of several technology firms into merger and acquisition. His abilities
in business development have produced long term relationships
with many Fortune 500 companies as well as several emerging nanotechnology
companies.
